Zeynep Çakmaklı
Zeynep Çakmaklı was born in 1994 in Ankara and graduated from TED Ankara College in 2012.
From 2012 to 2016, she attended design studios at Boston University (USA), Cornell University (USA), University College London (UK), Central Saint Martins (UK) each year. She got her Bachelor’s degree in architecture from İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University, in 2016. Following that, after working abroad for a while, she started to work as the overseas architectural project manager of Tümay & Akkoyunlu partnership in Istanbul. She continues to work at Akkoyunlu Architecture & Planning Inc., where she is a board member and partner since 2017.
She has been a member of TED Ankara College Alumni Association since 2014 and the Chamber of Architects since 2016. In 2016, she became a member of the ANGIKAD association to take part in social responsibility projects to support women entrepreneurs. In 2017, she became a member of the Turkish Education Association. In 2019, she was elected to the Ankara Chamber of Commerce's Provincial Women's Executive Board, and she served until 2023. She also takes part in social responsibility projects as a board member of the Entrepreneurial Businesswomen Education and Solidarity Association (GİSAD), which was established in 2019. And since 2020, she is a board member of Turkish Education Association Higher Education Foundation (TEDYÜV).
She is married and the mother of one child.
